Radio – 101.5 FM “The River” plays Christmas music 24/7 from Thanksgiving through Christmas.

Cable TV – TBS shows 1983 movie “A Christmas Story” for 24 hours starting Christmas Eve.

Cable TV – Hallmark Channel – Shows about 20 new Christmas movies every year and many old ones during the season.

Many other TV Channels offer Christmas movies throughout the season.

Things to Do In or Near Bowling Green

Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home – Drive through and view thousands of beautiful lights decorating the exterior of this large property at 1460 West Wooster Street (just west of Wintergarden Road, north side). Free, every night through the season. The best light display in Bowling Green. 

Neighborhood Christmas Lights – View dozens of spectacular outdoor home light displays on Kensington, Devonshire, and Cobblestone streets. Free.  South and west of the intersection of Conneaut Avenue and Wintergarden Road. The best neighborhood display in Bowling Green.

Christmas Eve Worship is a tradition for many American families. You are invited to observe or participate on December 24th. Choose either 4:00 pm or 5:30 pm at Bowling Green Covenant Church, 1159 Haskins Road, BG.  Many other local churches have similar services.

Conneaut Park Sledding Hill, at Conneaut & Haskins Road in BG. Site of the old water wells and reservoir system that supplied drinking water for the City, the sledding hill offers a great place to spend those snowy winter days.

Things to Do Somewhat Close to Bowling Green

Toledo Zoo “Lights Before Christmas”. Visit the zoo and stroll through the grounds to see over one million lights.  Every evening through December 31st  – starting at 3:00 PM.  Non-members pay $20 adults, $17 kids 2 -11 and seniors (60+).  The best lights in Northwest Ohio. https://www.toledozoo.org/lights

Wildwood Preserve Metropark, 5100 West Central Avenue in Toledo. Visit “Holidays in the Manor House”, December 7th through December 15th, from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm. Free.  The 30,000 square foot mansion is lavishly decorated inside and out. You can also take lighted trails and engage in other activities.

Levis Commons shopping center in Perrysburg is beautifully decorated, as is Fallen Timbers shopping mall.
Hensville Lights. A 45 foot 10,000 lights Christmas tree, 200,000 twinkling lights on and among the buildings, and a dancing light show synced to music at Washington and St. Clair in Downtown Toledo, through January 5th. Free.
