Two Staff Members, Many Volunteers

Global Connections has two staff members, Sarah Burchfield and Steve Baney. Both of them work part-time for Global Connections while also engaging in other responsibilities in the community of Bowling Green, Ohio.

Steve Baney is the Executive Director of Global Connections, hired in 2016. He graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2002 with a BA in Pastoral Ministry with a concentration in computer science. He has over 15 years of experience as a Christian pastor. He also completed a Master of Divinity Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary in 2007, and is now working toward a PhD in missiology at Concordia. While in graduate school, Steve studied abroad in India and was also inducted as a member of Eta Beta Rho Hebrew culture and language National Honor’s Society. Currently, Steve serves as a member of the board of the BG Church of the Nazarene. Steve enjoys playing guitar, watching sci-fi movies, and spending time with his family. Sarah Burchfield is the Public Relations Coordinator of Global Connections, hired in 2016 shortly after Steve. She graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2011 with a BA in Creative Writing. Sarah is also on staff with H2O Church since 2011. Sarah enjoys hosting parties, game nights, and movies. Ask her to see pictures of her two ornery cats! Can you guess her favorite Korean drama?
