Let’s Thanks Sarah Burchfield
|Since the summer of 2016, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sarah Burchfield. Sarah consistently brings with her a clear call to demonstrate genuine love and care for people from all around the world. She demonstrates the mission of Global Connections by personally creating opportunities for connection and friendship with international friends. Her life and relationships reflect the beauty of cultural exchange. And Sarah happily invites others to observe and participate with her in spiritual community if they choose to do so. It has been an honor to work with Sarah for these (almost) four years. I appreciate her as a friend and co-worker.
Sarah has resigned from her position with Global Connections in order to pursue her full-time work with H2O Toledo as of March 31. While Sarah has been a helpful member of our team, she is choosing to focus her energies in other areas. We wish her well and look forward to our continued friendship with her. Let’s thank Sarah together for her work with Global Connections.
Sarah graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing. Fresh out of graduation, Sarah went on staff with H2O Church to work with college students and soon became H2O’s partner liaison with Global Connections. She found that studies in Spanish, Chinese, and Korean Dramas have been the best bridge builders. One of her favorite things to do is host parties, game nights, and movie nights with students. She loves hearing people’s stories and making them feel at home, namely quality time and fun. She loves her two ornery cats Steve Rogers and Orion – and usually has pictures on hand. She enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, Korean dramas, and creative spurts.
Due to health concerns, we will not be meeting to say goodbye to Sarah. Yet we still want to celebrate and honor Sarah for her work. If you’d like express your thanks to Sarah, we welcome you to send cards or gift cards to Sarah Burchfield C/O Global Connections, 519 W Wooster St, Bowling Green, OH 43402.
