Julie Leaving Global Connections

A note from Julie…

After ten years of serving as the Director of Global Connections, I have made the difficult decision–actually a decision I formally made last summer–that the end of this semester will be my final year with GC so that I can return full-time to my professional field of teaching English to speakers of other languages.  Making the decision to leave what I love doing and the people I love, respect, value and appreciate as well as leaving this community that has been my home for the last 16 years has been extremely tough, yet I know that my time and work with Global Connections is coming to completion. Please understand that Global Connections isn’t ending–just my season of being its director.  Presently, Global Connections has a Transition Team in place, and they will let the International, local and University community know in a timely manner about the next director of this impactful organization. I know the succeeding leader will take GC to the next level and will also make as many dear friends as I have over the years.  Thank you for all of your love, friendship, support and encouragement.  I will miss you and Global Connections!
