Interim Executive Director–Mallory James
As announced in the March issue of In Touch, after ten years of serving as the Executive Director of Global Connections, Julie made the difficult decision to return to her professional field of teaching English to speakers of other languages. Global Connections will not be left leaderless, however. We are very pleased to announce that, effective June 1, Mallory James, our current part-time Assistant Director, will assume the full-time position of Interim Executive Director. Mallory graduated from BGSU in 2012 with a B.A in Interpersonal Communication and a minor in Spanish. Before joining us in November 2012, Mallory had gained experience in multi-cultural settings through various employment and volunteer opportunities. In fact, because of Mallory’s relational and administrative skills and her heart for Global Connections’ mission, she has been a key contributor to our success. We are very grateful to have Mallory serve as Interim Executive Director during this time of transition and fully anticipate that Global Connections will continue to flourish under her leadership.
